Job summary

YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is seeking a Regional Director of Safety Around Water (SAW) & School Partnerships to lead association-wide SAW programming, expand partnerships, and oversee staff.

You will drive the Dallas ISD expansion to include all elementary schools by May 2028, build youth safety programs, and collaborate with Aquatics, branch leadership, Development, school districts, and community partners to deliver high-quality instruction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Three or more years of leadership experience in aquatics or nonprofit programs.
• Experience managing staff, programs, and partnerships.
• YMCA Lifeguard and Swim Lessons Instructor certifications required or obtained within a set timeframe.
• Willingness to travel within the service area and occasional evenings/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Provide association-wide leadership for Safety Around Water programming.
• Execute SAW growth strategies and ensure programs meet safety, curriculum, and quality standards.
• Lead Dallas ISD SAW expansion to serve all elementary schools by May 31, 2028.
• Develop partnerships with community organizations and school districts to expand access to water-safety education.
• Supervise and develop the SAW Director and SAW instructional staff.
