The College of Pharmacy at The University of Texas at Austin is seeking distinguished applicants to fill open Experiential Education Regional Director positions in the Galveston/Houston region. Average weekly time commitment generally requires less than 5 hours per week.

The Region Director reports to the Assistant Dean for Experiential Education and leads the Galveston/Houston region, overseeing APPE sites and preceptors, coordinating schedules, ensuring site quality, and serving as a liaison

Qualifications

• Pharm.D. degree from ACPE-accredited school.
• Licensed to practice pharmacy in Texas.
• At least 3 years of pharmacy practice experience.
• Completion of PGY-1 residency preferred.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Introductory and Advanced region activities for Galveston/Houston region.
• Support region sites and preceptors with questions or concerns.
• Manage APPE preceptor and student schedule changes.
• Oversee region site and preceptor quality assurance and reporting to Austin.
• Recruit and retain regional sites and preceptors to ensure ample site availability.
• Serve as liaison between experiential office and sites/preceptors.
• Educate region preceptors.
• Participate in other duties as assigned.
