Job summary

MoonLake Immunotherapeutics, a clinical-stage biopharmaceutical company advancing sonelokimab, seeks a leader to build and head a national Field Medical organization in support of our scientific program. The role manages six MSLs, shapes the field medical strategy, and ensures compliant external interactions with medical independence.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Medical Affairs with field medical leadership and expertise in immunology/dermatology, plus proven capability to launch field

Qualifications

• Advanced scientific/clinical degree required.
• 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology Medical Affairs experience.
• 3+ years of MSL or field-medical leadership strongly preferred.
• Immunology, dermatology or related inflammatory-disease expertise preferred; HS experience highly valued.
• Demonstrated experience launching a field medical team, a product, or a new therapeutic-area capability.
• Strong scientific communication, coaching, compliance judgment and cross-functional influence.
• Experience with KOL strategy, congress planning, medical insights and evidence-generation interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a national team of six launch-caliber Field Science Leads across priority U.S. regions and strategic academic centers.
• Define the Field Medical strategy, scientific platform, KOL segmentation, engagement model and annual objectives aligned with the U.S. Field Medical Plan along with Global Medical Affairs.
• Coach Field Science Lead on peer-to-peer scientific exchange, data interpretation, insight generation, congress engagement and compliant external interactions.
• Establish processes for high-quality medical insights, synthesis and pull-through into evidence generation, medical education and strategic planning.
• Lead field execution for advisory boards, congresses, investigator engagement and other initiatives in partnership with Medical Affairs and other functions.
• Partner with key leaders in Medical Affairs to build scientific onboarding, certification and ongoing capability development.
• Collaborate compliantly with Commercial, Market Access and Patient Services while preserving medical independence.
• Track field medical impact through quality measures through CRM of KOL coverage, scientific-exchange quality, insight usefulness and outcomes.

Job Purpose

Build and lead MoonLake's national Field Medical organization in support of the sonelokimab scientific program. The leader will manage six MSLs, establish the scientific-engagement model, shape KOL strategy and medical insights, and ensure the field medical team operates with clear independence from promotional objectives.

Job Requirements

Education:

• Advanced scientific/clinical degree required (PharmD, PhD, MD, DO, NP or PA).

Experience:

• 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotechnology Medical Affairs experience with substantial field medical experience.
• 3+ years of MSL or field-medical people leadership strongly preferred.

Skills/knowledge/behavioural competencies:

• Immunology, dermatology or related inflammatory-disease expertise preferred; HS experience highly valued.
• Demonstrated experience launching a field medical team, a product, or a new therapeutic-area capability.
