Job summary

The Jed Foundation (JED) is seeking a Regional Director for the Intermountain West to lead SPC-School Programs & Consulting across Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming. This hybrid leadership role builds JED’s brand, develops new school and district partnerships, and supports a small, geographically dispersed team delivering DMHI and other school-based programs.

Based in the Mountain West, you will travel about 40–50% and collaborate with education leaders, state agencies, tribes, and funders to expand

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7+ years in PK–12 mental health programming, youth-serving nonprofit work, or education leadership.
• 2+ years managing teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
• Deep knowledge of Idaho, Montana, and Wyoming education and youth mental health landscape.
• Proven track record building relationships with state agencies, nonprofits, and funders.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, including to senior leaders and officials.
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM tools.
• Commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and antiracism.

Responsibilities

• Regional brand-building, relationship cultivation and convening across Idaho, Montana and Wyoming.
• New business development and lead generation across districts and CBOs in the region.
• Matrix-led team leadership and program oversight for DMHI and school-based programming.
• Ambassador for JED’s full program portfolio and regional representation.
• Division-wide collaboration with SPC leadership and cross-team initiatives.
