Job summary

Dungarvin is hiring a Director of IDD Residential Services (Area Director) to lead all residential programs in the assigned region. You will provide strategic direction, oversee budgets, licensing, and compliance, and drive growth while ensuring person-centered services for individuals with disabilities.

You will collaborate with Area Managers and Directors, develop staff, and strengthen leadership teams across the region to maintain high-quality programs and sustainable operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services or a related field required (Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Allied Health, or Human Services).
• 5+ years of experience within residential IDD/DD services, group homes, or community-based programs.
• 2+ years of leadership experience overseeing multiple programs, sites, or leadership teams preferred.
• Understanding of person-centered supports, residential operations, Medicaid/CIH/HCBS Waiver services, and compliance standards in accordance to IDOH and CARF.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs and the ability to adapt to new technology platforms.
• Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets agency insurance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support Area Managers and Program Directors across assigned residential programs while promoting accountability, collaboration, communication, and operational consistency.
• Build positive relationships with families, community partners, referral sources, and external stakeholders while representing Dungarvin.
• Oversee residential program operations to ensure compliance with state regulations, licensing requirements, Medicaid Waiver standards, HCBS expectations, and organizational policies.
• Monitor operational performance, staffing trends, budgets, expenses, and program performance across assigned services.
