Job summary

The Pennsylvania Environmental Council (PEC) Northeast Regional Director leads regional programs, oversees grants, and drives fundraising in Northeast Pennsylvania. This hands-on leadership role supervises staff, builds partnerships with communities, government, and funders, and advances PEC’s environmental and community priorities.

Hybrid work with three in-office days in Pittston, PA, travel across the region, and collaboration with statewide teams.

Qualifications

• Five to seven years of progressive experience in program management and nonprofit leadership.
• Experience in grant administration, fundraising, and stakeholder engagement preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a related field and passion for environmental stewardship.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of regional programs.
• Identify partnerships, funding sources, and emerging opportunities that support PEC’s objectives.
• Build relationships with community leaders, officials, funders, businesses, and nonprofits.
• Represent PEC at meetings, conferences, and public events; coordinate with statewide teams.
• Directly manage regional projects, grants, deliverables, and outcomes.
• Supervise staff and provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development.
• Oversee regional mini-grants; monitor finances, reporting, and compliance.
• Collaborate on fundraising proposals, sponsorships, and donor stewardship.
• Deliver outreach and communications to increase PEC’s visibility.
