Job summary

Magical Beginnings is seeking a Regional Director of Operations to lead our Long Island expansion, oversee multi-site operations, and build a strong leadership pipeline across schools. You will partner with the Executive Team to ensure licensing compliance, safety, and high-quality programs while guiding regional growth.

The role requires a strategic leader who can manage budgets, drive improvement, and foster a welcoming culture for children, families, and teachers.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in progressive leadership, early education preferred.
• Experience managing multi-site operations and school leaders.
• Strong verbal and interpersonal communication.
• Solid business acumen with analytics and problem-solving.
• Flexible, collaborative, and able to lead as an individual contributor and a team leader.
• Willing to work full-time including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operational functions across the territory, including School Directors and the Facilities Manager.
• Hire, train, and conduct performance reviews; build leadership pipeline.
• Support professional development; serve as Interim Director when needed.
• Communicate goals and model the company's mission and culture.
• Lead operational integration of new schools; onboarding and policy alignment.
• Partner with Executive Leadership on due diligence and transition planning.
• Oversee budgets, KPIs, and financial performance; support enrollment.
• Drive visits, audits, safety, and continuous quality improvement.
• Ensure schools are safe, well-maintained, welcoming; collaborate with Facilities Manager.
• Escalation point for issues; ensure leadership access.
• Conduct outreach to ensure staff and families have positive experiences.
