Job summary

Aventura Health Group is seeking a Regional Director of Operations and Food Service to lead dining programs across multiple healthcare facilities. You will implement company policies, ensure regulatory compliance, and optimize service quality while controlling costs.

You will collaborate with on-site dietitians and corporate teams, develop unit budgets, monitor financials, and drive performance improvements. Travel to facilities will be required as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required.
• Certified Dietary Manager required if no degree.
• Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in culinary arts or dietary services.
• Minimum 2-5 years’ experience coordinating food service operations.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and guide teams.
• Strong initiative.
• Strong ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.
• Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment.
• Ability to travel frequently

Responsibilities

• Actively support and apply all company policies to ensure high quality service at the lowest cost.
• Coordinate with corporate and onsite dietitians to meet federal and state requirements.
• Develop and maintain internal QA and assessment processes across facilities.
• Participate in food service committees and represent the company at events.
• Plan and develop unit budgets and monitor financial objectives.
• Review financial results weekly/monthly and adjust operations accordingly.
• Prepare weekly financial plans including sales, menu, production, and labor.
• Educate FSDs on P&L processes and review month-end results.
• Ensure adherence to established accounting practices and timelines.
• Support new business bids and program development.
• renegotiate contracts and manage transitions of new accounts.
• Conduct audits of facilities for production, sanitation, purchasing, inventories, payroll, HR compliance.
