Job summary

Excelon Associates is seeking a Regional Program Director for Construction Trades based in Orlando, with travel to multiple campuses within the region. The role focuses on program leadership, quality assurance, and student outcomes across Electrical, HVAC/R, Welding, Construction and related disciplines.

The director will oversee curriculum, accreditation, faculty development, and regional operations, ensuring alignment with institutional policies and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related trade, technical, or education field.
  • Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
  • Minimum of five years of work experience in a skilled trade (Electrical, HVAC/R, Welding, Construction, or related).
  • Current license or certifications in a construction or building trades field (state Electrical or HVAC/R license, Welding certifications, NCCER, OSHA, EPA).
  • Experience with program coordination, curriculum implementation, or academic leadership responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel frequently within the assigned region; bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, coordination, and support for regional trades programs across campuses and modalities.
  • Ensure quality assurance, student retention, outcomes, and program accreditation.
  • Oversee curriculum, syllabi, labor projections, and alignment with program outcomes.
  • Recruit, hire, and develop trades faculty; support professional development and evaluations.
  • Monitor enrollment trends, course offerings, lab sections, and faculty coverage; implement corrective actions.
