Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated Regional Director, Business Development (West Coast USA) for our growing organization!

In this role, you will be responsible for identifying new TKL clients, managing the sales cycle, and securing contracts for services in the pharmaceutical, consumer health, medical device, and nutritional communities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  1. Prospecting and developing new opportunities for Phase I-IV services
  2. Working independently to identify new clinical trial opportunities from industry intelligence, following up on leads from industry/therapeutic meetings, and networking with colleagues
  3. Providing client services to key accounts
  4. Managing the sales cycle for Requests for Proposals (RFPs), developing responses with internal teams, following up on proposals, and participating in client meetings to secure contracts
  5. Developing annual sales plans to meet corporate goals (individual goals to be set based on experience and current client base)
  6. Contributing to business development strategy for long-term corporate growth
  7. Entering and tracking contacts through the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system (e.g., Salesforce)
  8. Preparing monthly client contact reports and business development pipeline reports
  9. Attending conferences or working at booths when TKL is exhibiting, as needed
  10. Performing miscellaneous duties supporting business development, operations, and company priorities

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 3 years’ experience in health sciences, business, or communications
  • 3 to 5 years of direct sales and/or clinical operations experience
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • Knowledge of FDA regulations and GCP/ICH guidelines related to clinical research
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
  • Collaborative working style with the ability to translate management discussions into actionable plans
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Preferred qualifications include experience in Dermatology, Aesthetics, and Phase I-III trials. A home-based location on the West Coast USA is preferred, with potential exposure to Asian clients/territory.
