Job summary

Gensler is seeking a Regional Design Technology Lead of Computational Platforms to advance research, development, and strategic implementation of computational and generative design across the Northwest region. You will shape the strategy and roadmap for digital design practices in partnership with NW leadership.

Lead training, develop custom computational solutions, and document case studies to demonstrate value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent technical training in the building industry.
• 10+ years of experience with whole-project solutions combining computational design and BIM deliverables.
• Experience leading Design Technology and innovative frameworks/workflows in project delivery.
• Expert in computational and parametric design platforms (Rhino.Inside, Dynamo, Grasshopper).
• Knowledge of programming languages: Python, VB.NET, Java, C#, C++.
• Experience with data visualization (Power BI) is beneficial.
• Familiarity with Revit API, web development, or software development is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Foster and grow the Computational Design community in the Northwest region.
• Establish cross-platform integration and interoperability from concept to delivery.
• Develop regional strategy for computational design with leadership.
• Author/develop custom computational/generative design solutions for project teams.
• Document case studies demonstrating the value of computational design.
• Develop computational tools for spatial analytics and generative design.
• Identify and implement intelligent automation practices.
• Research and integrate AI/ML responsibly into design processes.
• Present concepts to non-technical audiences via storytelling and data visuals.
• Promote use of Gensler's proprietary computational platforms.
• Lead formal and informal training for team members.
