Job Overview

Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Regional Delivery Manager to oversee a portfolio of Third-Party Logistics Carriers (3PLs), while supporting assigned market stores across the region. In this role, you’ll bring your leadership, logistics expertise, and customer-focused mindset to drive operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and financial performance. You will collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Store Operations, DC Operations, Inventory Control, and others to champion the customer experience and uphold “The Bob’s Way.”

This role has a Tuesday through Saturday schedule, with occasional Monday work due to volume needs. National travel responsibilities up to 50%. We are open to the right candidate working primarily remote;

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with other departments to ensure alignment of strategy and execution across business functions.
• Utilize analytical skills to identify improvement areas, analyze data, and implement impactful process changes.
• Help enhance depot and store delivery performance through carrier performance management, depot audits, and customer experience initiatives.
• Lead strategic projects, including depot openings/closures and store delivery support.
• Conduct weekly carrier meetings and regular site inspections to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
• Effective Delegation: Ability to empower others while maintaining oversight of delivery outcomes.
• Adept at root cause analysis and developing long‑term solutions.
• Conflict Navigation: Experienced in managing difficult carrier and team conversations constructively.
• Cultivates a culture of customer service, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Manages 3PL depot managers and regional delivery teams indirectly.
• Field‑based role with regular in‑person travel to depot and store locations.
• Frequent virtual meetings with carriers, internal stakeholders, and cross‑functional teams.
• Flexibility to balance office‑based strategic planning and field execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or related field; 5+ years in transportation logistics management.
• 5+ years of successful multi‑unit retail or delivery operations experience.
• Strong data analysis and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
• Proven record of mentoring, developing, and retaining high‑performance teams.
• Effective Delegation: Ability to empower others while maintaining oversight of delivery outcomes.
• Adept at root cause analysis and developing long‑term solutions.
• Conflict Navigation: Experienced in managing difficult carrier and team conversations constructively.
• Familiar with logistics technology (SAP / EWM), Microsoft Office Suite, and delivery tracking systems (DispatchTrack).
• KPI/Financial Acumen: Skilled in managing $400M+ in delivered sales and analyzing key logistics metrics.
• Customer Satisfaction: Deep commitment to delivering “best in class” customer experience.
• Process Improvement: Proven success improving logistics workflows and reducing delivery‑related costs.
• Strategic Planning: Ability to implement regional strategies aligned with broader company goals.
• Experience in alternate Big Ticket Retail or furniture industry.
• Familiarity with wood, bedding, upholstery, and leather furniture.
• Ability to motivate diverse teams and manage through change.
• Passion for learning and continuous improvement.

Physical Requirements

Able to sit, walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, and lift/move up to 50 lbs without assistance.

Compensation

Expected Base Pay Not Including Potential Commissions, Incentive, Bonus, etc. 86-110k base salary + bonus target
