Job summary

Bob's Discount Furniture is seeking a Regional Delivery Director to lead delivery operations, champion our culture and customer experience, and oversee 3PL partnerships across the region.

You will collaborate with Store Ops, DC Ops, Inventory Control and other teams to align objectives and deliver best-in-class service on 200+ daily routes with substantial delivery volume.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 15 years of equivalent experience in transportation logistics or retail leadership.
• 7+ years in logistics management with demonstrated continuous improvement.
• 7+ years in multi-unit retail leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional delivery operations and act as ambassador for culture, brand and customer experience.
• Collaborate with Store Operations, DC Operations, Inventory Control and cross-functional teams.
• Oversee 3PL carrier partnerships and 200+ daily routes with ~$750M in delivered sales.
• Drive routing improvements, compliance, depot performance and cost optimization.

Job description

The Regional Delivery Director serves as a Culture, Brand, and Customer Experience ambassador for their assigned region and across the company. This role oversees a portfolio primarily made up of Third-Party Logistic (3PL) carriers and supports the market of stores indirectly through delivery operations. Acting as both liaison and subject matter expert, the Regional Delivery Director collaborates closely with cross-functional teams, including Store Operations, DC Operations, Inventory Control, and more.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree; or 15 years of equivalent experience in transportation logistics or retail multi-unit management.
• 7+ years in logistics management with demonstrated continuous improvement.
• 7+ years in multi-unit retail leadership.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

• Typical 50+ hour work week with national responsibility and ~50% travel.
• Field, office, virtual, and conference-based work.
• Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, push, pull, and handle/move up to 50 lbs unassisted; up to 100 lbs with reasonable accommodation.
