Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Regional Safety Engineer to support Data Center Planning and Delivery (DCPD) initiatives. You will lead health and safety programs across field projects, engage with internal teams and external contractors, and drive continuous improvement in safety culture and regulatory compliance.

You will work with DCPD and AWS partners to deploy safety management practices, monitor performance, and align with jurisdictional requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of compliance, audit or risk management experience.
• 3+ years of health and safety experience in construction or industrial environments, including knowledge of safety management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Experience with contractor safety management and safety program deployment.

Responsibilities

• Deploy H&S programs covering leadership, planning, and operational controls.
• Ensure compliance of General Contractors and AWS deployment vendors with onboarding requirements.
• Conduct regular site visits and audits; report findings to DCPD leadership.
• Analyze data and trends to drive improvements in H&S across projects.
