Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) Infrastructure Services seeks a Colo Regional Engineer to lead data center design, risk analysis, and MEPS‑infrastructure performance across global facilities. You will collaborate with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and operators to ensure safety, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

You will evaluate collocation facilities, influence standards, and travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Experience with data center design, engineering and operations of infrastructure common to data centers.
• Strong MEPS infrastructure engineering background with leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers.
• Perform risk analysis and availability calculations for vendor-owned infrastructure.
• Influence AWS design and specification requirements to meet business needs for colocation products.
• Lead and document root-cause failure analysis for infrastructure and equipment.
• Collaborate with vendors and local authorities to ensure compliance with codes and regulations.
