Job summary

Meta designs, builds, leases, and operates data centers globally. Meta is seeking a Director of Regional Development to grow Meta’s data center portfolio in line with strategic objectives and AI initiatives, with responsibility for regional capacity development.

Responsibilities include leading regional development, coordinating with design, engineering, and legal teams, and delivering cost effective capacity while managing risk. Travel 25%+ may be required.

Qualifications

• 15+ years in industrial real estate, infrastructure and development.
• Proven track record delivering large-scale multi-party deals for data center capacity.
• 8+ years managing regional programs and organizations.
• Commercial leadership and negotiation on complex, multi-variable deals.
• Experience delivering large capital projects with complex structures.
• Vision to open new markets and channels for data center capacity.
• Strategic thinker with influence in ambiguous environments.
• Strong analytical and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proven leadership in growing organizations and scaling teams.

Responsibilities

• Grow and lead the regional development program for data center capacity growth.
• Collaborate with design, engineering, construction, network, and legal to plan capacity targets.
• Guide strategic approach to new capacity while mitigating risk.
• Own data center site selection and development within North America.
• Deliver cost-effective capacity with flexibility and optionality.
• Represent Meta with executives, governments, regulators, and stakeholders.
• Recruit, onboard, and mentor staff with learning and career development.
• Travel domestically and internationally as needed (25%+).
