Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Sr Electrical Engineer for Data Center regional engineering in AMER. You will lead design, review, and upgrades for colo data centers, collaborating with internal teams and external vendors to ensure reliability and efficiency across multiple regions.

The role emphasizes MEPS infra expertise, field engineering, and strong project leadership in critical facilities. Base salary is competitive with RSU and benefits in the US market.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance
• Knowledge of critical data center mechanical and electrical equipment
• Experience with data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance

Responsibilities

• Conduct site assessments against AWS standards for collocation data centers and telecom facilities in the region.
• Review vendor critical infrastructure designs and perform risk analyses for fit-for-use for AWS services.
• Review design and equipment submittals for new data centers in your region.
• Troubleshoot and perform RCA/CA documentation for site/equipment failures.
• Support operational issues with ad-hoc training and SOP reviews, including critical equipment.
• Own design for data center upgrades to add capacity and improve availability.
