Region 8 in Madison County seeks a County Coordinator to assist the County Administrator in leading clinical operations and program delivery across the Region 8 catchment area. Ideal candidates hold a Master’s in a mental health field with 3–5 years of supervisory experience, plus an independent license or certification.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in a Mental Health related field.
• 3-5 years supervisory experience including Management, Human Resources, Training & Customer Service.
• Must possess or be working toward an independent license, or Dept of Mental Health Certification.
• Ideal candidate would preferably live in the county of service.
• Must have a valid Mississippi driver’s license and use of an insured automobile to travel within the catchment area.
• Must pass Criminal Background Investigation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the County Administrator in achieving satisfactory results in fulfilling the responsibilities for the total Clinical Operations for the County.
• Delegate responsibilities for center activities to other mental health center staff under supervision;
• Represent Region 8 and Region 8 Administration in a positive manner;
• Ensure that policies and procedures are followed;
• Build morale and create unity in the workplace;
• Communicate well with staff and supervisors;
• Provide 24/7 availability to support Crisis Response as needed;
• Maintain documentation to meet Mississippi Department of Mental Health Operational Standards;
• Lead by example and maintain required trainings and certifications.
