Merck seeks a Growth and Improvement minded Regional Medical Scientific Director (MSL) in Respiratory - COPD to drive our Strategic Operating Priorities. This director-level Medical Affairs role engages Scientific Leaders with balanced scientific information and supports scientific exchange, research, and congress activities.

You will liaise between the scientific community and Merck to enhance understanding of approved and investigational trials, ensuring adherence to GCP/SOPs and enabling

Qualifications

PhD, PharmD, DNP, DO, or MD required.
Advanced Practice Providers or MS in a healthcare discipline may be considered with relevant experience.
Minimum of 3 years of therapeutic area experience beyond degree program, e.g., COPD/Respiratory.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and networking skills.
Principled verbal and written communications.

Responsibilities

Develops professional relationships with national and regional SLs to share medical information.
Conducts peer-to-peer scientific discussions and maintains a medical contact within the company.
Addresses scientific questions and directs inquiries to appropriate resources.
Gathers feedback and data to understand medical needs and priorities.
Leads by example and promotes inclusion within the medical affairs team.
