Job summary

GeoStabilization International (GSI) is hiring a Regional Business Controller for the RoadGuard Western US operations. Based in Westminster, CO, you will lead the accounting team, own technical accounting, and partner with operations to scale systems.

The role focuses on margin-driven decision making, post-acquisition integrations, and strong internal controls across multi-entity structures, including intercompany eliminations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience including percentage-of-completion/cost-to-cost revenue recognition.
• CPA certification or equivalent; experience with multi-entity consolidations is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take a hands-on role in project controls, reviews with operations leaders.
• Advise ops leadership on indicators that drive performance.
• Lead month-end close, GL, audits, reconciliations, and internal controls.
• Own percentage-of-completion revenue recognition across multi-month, multi-entity projects.
• Explain cost and margin variances before results reach leadership or the board.
• Conduct technical accounting research, documentation, and policy updates.
• Oversee accounting for complex cycles and key accounts.
• Integrate acquired entities into GSI’s financial systems and COA.
• Ensure consistent reporting across entities and align time periods for comparability.
• Collaborate on cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, margin tracking, and per-project accuracy.
• Automate processes and apply AI to streamline close and reporting.
• Prepare reporting for executive decision-making and board visibility.
