Job summary

The State Group seeks a Regional Controller based in Paducah, Kentucky, to lead financial reporting and controls for a defined region. You will partner with operations to review results, forecast, and budget while ensuring compliance with GAAP, ASPE, and CAS.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in construction industry or project-based accounting.
• Experience supervising and developing direct reports.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and financial reporting software.
• CPA preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and continuously improve financial systems for accuracy.
• Ensure GAAP/ASPE/CAS compliance and internal controls.
• Provide metrics and benchmarks to measure operations and financial performance.
• Collaborate with operations to review results, WIP, and budget by division.
• Support VP in strategic reviews and operational improvements.
• Provide variance analyses for operations, VP Finance, and CFO.
• Work with external auditors to resolve issues and complete audits.
• File quarterly and annual reports.
