Vortex Companies, LLC is seeking an experienced Regional Controller to provide financial leadership for three business units across Iowa, Minnesota, and Montana. This hands-on role partners with operations, project managers, payroll, and Corporate Finance to improve profitability and reporting.

The ideal candidate will own job cost accounting, monthly close, forecasting, accounts receivable, union payroll oversight, internal controls, and operational financial support, while guiding regional

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands‑on accounting experience in construction
• NetSuite experience required
• Proficiency with Excel and ERP systems

Responsibilities

• Provide financial leadership for three business units in Iowa, Minnesota, and Montana
• Partner with regional leadership, project managers, payroll and corporate finance
• Maintain strong internal controls and accurate reporting across the region
• Oversee job cost accounting, monthly close, forecasting, AR, and payroll oversight
• Identify risks and opportunities to improve profitability and cash flow
