Contracts Administrator
We are seeking a detail-oriented Contracts Administrator with experience in U.S. Government contracting to support contract management and compliance activities throughout the contract lifecycle. Working closely with senior contract professionals, program teams, and business development, the Contracts Administrator will assist in contract preparation, documentation, reporting, and coordination efforts. This role ensures compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other federal requirements while helping maintain B&A's contractual and financial integrity.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing support to the Department of Transportation/Federal Transit Administration
- Assist in managing contracts, grants, and cooperative agreements
- Provide support to various program offices with the drafting of requirements and preparation of acquisition package materials
- Work with program managers on procurement policies, regulations, and procedures
- Support multiple purchasing actions in a fast-paced environment
- Collaborate with a variety of Program Offices to ensure all acquisition package components are completed in a compliant manner
- Maintain knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and agency supplemental regulations and utilize all applicable regulations, policies, and procedures
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) with at least 5 years of federal government procurement/acquisition experience (government side)
Required Skills
- Knowledge of and experience with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Knowledge of federal government acquisitions of commercial supplies and/or services
- Experience performing reviews/QA/QC of independent government estimates (IGE) prepared by General Engineers (IGEs support the award of task orders to Project Management Oversight Consultants - PMOC)
- Experience reviewing PMOC invoices and making recommendations to General Engineers for payment
- Experience reviewing grantee sole source justifications and making recommendations to General Engineers for approval
- Experience reviewing grantee procurement policies and advance payment requests
- Experience reviewing change order review findings and making recommendations to General Engineers
- Experience applying the allowable cost requirements in 2 C.F.R. 200
- Good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work with minimal guidance and supervision
Desired Skills
- Experience with major contract writing systems
- Experience purchasing within the transportation field
- Experience as an 1102 in the Federal Government
Security Clearance
- Must be a U.S. Citizen able to pass a Public Trust security investigation
