Job summary

CORE Safety Group specializes in safety management and loss control consulting. We seek a Corporate Safety Manager to oversee safety programs in North Carolina, providing leadership in policy development, training, and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes driving safety performance, incident prevention, and a culture of accountability across projects, with up to 25% travel and collaboration with clients and teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in safety management or related field.
• CHST or OHST designation is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 500 certification is required.
• Knowledge of OSHA CFR 1926/1910 and best practices.
• Proficiency with SharePoint and MS Office.
• Strong technical writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform gap analyses of client safety programs to identify needs.
• Develop processes and procedures to achieve zero accidents.
• Routinely inspect projects to identify hazards and abate them.
• Develop and conduct training programs for policies and procedures.
• Investigate accidents and near misses to determine root causes.
• Write project-specific safety plans and job hazard analyses.
• Oversee accident reports and investigations for completeness.
• Advocate for safety and promote corporate ethics.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Construction Management, or related area

CHST or OHST designation
