Job summary

The State of South Carolina's Department of Natural Resources seeks a program-support specialist to assist the Soil and Water Conservation Districts in the Edisto-Savannah Valley. You will coordinate district activities, attend meetings, and help connect districts with partners.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree and relevant program experience.
• A Bachelor's degree (Master's preferred) in agriculture, environmental or natural science with four years' experience.

Responsibilities

• Support Soil and Water Conservation Districts in the Edisto-Savannah Valley area and the public.
• Maintain constant communication and attend meetings with assigned districts.
• Provide and identify needed/requested assistance to assigned districts.
• Assist with Department and Conservation District programs, outreach, and partnerships.
• Promote the conservation district mission to districts and statewide when appropriate.
• Relay information on land management issues, new partnerships, funding opportunities, and programs to supervisor.
• Deliver trainings and assist with content creation for districts.
• Ensure districts meet department requirements and expectations.
• Assist in delivering, developing and auditing conservation district training for the Department, districts, and the public.
• Provide administrative reports and attend staff meetings.
