Job summary

Valeo is seeking a Regional Communications Director to align regional and corporate messaging, manage external and internal communications, and oversee the budget for the region. You will build media relations, supervise branding, and lead crisis communications in coordination with Corporate Communications.

Ideal candidates bring strong writing, presentation skills, at least 5–10 years in communications, and a solid media network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or related field is required.
• Master's Degree in related fields is considered a plus.
• 5–10 years experience in communications; 7+ years preferable.
• Extensive written communications and presentations to internal/external audiences.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry is a plus.
• Strong media network contacts.
• Knowledge of best practices in social media.
• Experience with Government Affairs a plus.
• Experience partnering and managing external vendors.
• Event planning and management experience.

Responsibilities

• Define regional communication strategies and annual plans aligned with Corporate Communications.
• Oversee external media relations and budget; maintain relationships with journalists and publications.
• Coordinate campaigns with vendors and use Valeo branding guidelines.
• Review materials for marketing effectiveness and brand consistency.
• Lead crisis communications with Corporate Communications during incidents.
• Develop and maintain internal communications and employee/speaker materials.
• Manage media content, public relations, and online presence.
