Job Summary and Qualifications

The Regional Coding Operations Manager (RCOM) is responsible for developing and evolving the strategy for Physician Services Coding Operations. The RCOM oversees all CSG coding operational processes and workflows, including practice acquisitions, provider clinical documentation improvement, practice coding processes, and division relationship management. The RCOM assists the Regional Coding Operations Director with operational planning, service commitments, budgets, workflows, and internal controls. The role involves promoting Coding Operations as a service organization, aiming to meet and exceed customer expectations.

Description

This position is incentive eligible.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Provide coding and documentation improvement education to providers.
• Review progress against business and operational metrics to manage risks.
• Collaborate with division teams on practice implementation and acquisition activities.
• Lead communication with practice staff, providers, and leadership.
• Guide practice management and division leadership to ensure efficient coding processes.
• Work with the Central Coding Unit (CCU) to resolve issues.
• Build strategic relationships with practice and division leadership.
• Lead innovation, knowledge sharing, and best practices.
• Manage coding education for staff.
• Contribute to strategic direction for Coding Operations.
• Adhere to the organization's Code of Conduct, Mission, and Values.
• Be willing to be present within practices daily, including minimal overnight travel.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• Certifications: CCS, CCS-P, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CPC-H, CRC through AHIMA or AAPC.

Experience:

• Experience with Cerner and eClinicalWorks preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of professional fee coding and revenue cycle operations experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of healthcare management/leadership experience required.

Note: This role supports the HCA North Texas Division; candidates must reside in or relocate to Dallas, Texas, with travel within the division required.
