Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a dedicated Certified Medical Assistant to coordinate and assist healthcare providers in delivering safe, quality, and cost-effective care to our diverse patient population. The role emphasizes teamwork, community involvement, and a commitment to diversity and inclusion to ensure remarkable care in every interaction.

The position is a Regional Float in North Carolina, offering 24 hours per week, Mon-Fri, 8:00am-5:00pm with no weekend or holiday shifts.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an accredited Medical Assistant Program including pharmacology and medication administration.
• Current CMA/RMA/CCMA certification or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.
• Experience in a Medical Office preferred but not required.
• Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and assist providers in delivering healthcare services.
• Assist providers during exams and procedures.
• Take vital signs and obtain medical histories.
• Assist with patient forms such as FMLA or other forms.
• Prepare patients and exam rooms for treatment.
• Ensure safe, quality, and cost-effective care for patients.
• Engage in teamwork and community involvement to enhance patient care.
