Job summary

Novant Health is seeking a Float Pool Certified Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care across multiple locations in the Greater Charlotte area. The role offers exposure to diverse providers and clinic environments and coverage until permanent staff are in place.

Responsibilities include medical assisting with an emphasis on pharmacology and medication administration; CMA/CCMA/RMA/ARMA or equivalent certification must be obtained within six months, with an option to use related

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.
• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program that includes an externship in a clinical setting; must include pharmacology and medication administration.
• Certification/registry must be obtained by the last day of the six month of hire; accepted: CMA, CCMA, RMA, ARMA, NCCT, NAHP.
• Alternative Work Experience (eligibility to take exams) or graduate of an Accredited School of Professional Nursing may apply.
• Experience: Previous work in a medical office, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification: Current certification, or ability to obtain within 6 months as CMA, RMA or CCMA, required.
• Additional Skills Required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department specific skills validation and competency testing.
