Regional Clinical Sales Specialist (CMF) - Portland, OR - DePuy Synthes

Johnson & Johnson is recruiting for a Clinical Sales Specialist (CMF) for DePuy Synthes located in Portland, OR. The territory includes Washington, Oregon, and California, with approximately 25% travel required.

DePuy Synthes, part of Johnson & Johnson Medical Devices Companies, offers a comprehensive portfolio in orthopedics, including joint reconstruction, trauma, craniomaxillofacial, spinal surgery, and sports medicine. The role involves advancing sales by providing clinical and logistical support in hospitals and operating rooms, such as independent surgical coverage, billing, logistics, and asset management. The position requires close collaboration with sales teams and supervision by management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guide and assist surgeons during orthopedic surgeries by providing clinical and technical support.
  • Serve as the sole company representative in surgeries, ensuring equipment availability and functionality.
  • Respond to physician needs, handle hospital billing, and manage purchase orders.
  • Share insights with sales, clinical, marketing, and strategic teams to improve solutions and support growth.
  • Provide consultation to Operating Room and Sterile Processing Departments.
  • Maintain and deploy equipment and assets to ensure product availability.
  • Keep promotional materials presentable and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Support logistical operations, including moving instruments, implants, and equipment.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree or
  • Associate Degree or Medical Certification (e.g., CST, PT) with at least 2 years of professional experience, or
  • Minimum of 4 years of professional experience, or
  • Recently transitioned from active military duty.
Other Requirements
  • Ability to work in a lab/operating room environment.
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license.
  • Willingness to travel, including weekends and overnight stays.
  • Residency or willingness to relocate to the territory.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, influencing, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in data analysis and insights.
  • Results-oriented with good prioritization skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within complex organizations.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and surgical procedures.
  • Technical knowledge of surgical instruments and protocols is preferred.
