Job summary

Onyx Healthcare is seeking a Regional Clinical Operations leader (RN) to provide clinical leadership and operational support across multiple skilled nursing facilities in Northern Louisiana. This hands-on role partners with Executive Directors, Directors of Nursing, and corporate leadership to improve outcomes and ensure survey readiness.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in good standing.
• Minimum 5 years of skilled nursing leadership experience.
• Experience as Director of Nursing or regional leadership role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, survey processes, infection prevention, MDS, and long-term care operations.
• Ability to travel extensively within the assigned region.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical oversight for assigned skilled nursing facilities.
• Partner with Executive Directors and Directors of Nursing to improve clinical performance.
• Support facilities before, during, and after state and federal surveys.
• Monitor Quality Measures (QMs), Five-Star performance, infection prevention, wound care, falls, rehospitalizations, and resident outcomes.
• Review clinical audits and develop action plans to address opportunities.
• Coach, mentor, and develop Directors of Nursing and nursing leadership teams.
• Assist with Plans of Correction (POCs) and regulatory compliance initiatives.
• Standardize clinical practices across all assigned facilities.
• Support staffing strategies that improve retention and reduce agency utilization.
• Collaborate with Operations, Human Resources, Therapy, MDS, and Quality teams to achieve organizational goals.
• Travel regularly to assigned facilities throughout the region.

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
• Minimum of 5 years of skilled nursing leadership experience.
• Previous experience as a Director of Nursing, Regional Clinical Consultant, Regional Director of Clinical Services, or similar multi-site leadership role preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CMS regulations, IDPH requirements, survey process, infection prevention, MDS, Quality Measures, and long-term care operations.
• Demonstrated success leading regulatory recovery efforts and improving clinical outcomes.
• Strong communication, leadership, coaching, and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel extensively throughout the assigned region.
