Job summary

H&R Block, Inc. seeks an Area Experience Leader to supervise a portfolio of 4–6 retail offices, ensuring a consistent, high‑quality client experience.

You’ll coach Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals, aligning strategy with in‑office leadership to drive client outcomes and business performance. This visible, hands‑on role requires strong leadership, change management, and travel between offices to maintain staffing, facilities, and compliance while building bench strength and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years leading teams in a multi-unit retail/service/operations environment.
• Strong client-centric mindset with consultative experience.
• Proven leadership with ability to coach and hold teams accountable.
• Experience driving business and financial results across multiple locations.
• Experience leading through change and adopting new processes.
• Independent judgment to prioritize across locations.
• Experience in facilities, staffing, or compliance operations.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills; handles escalations.
• Ability to interpret data, identify trends, and translate into action.
• Ability to travel frequently, with minimal overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Own consistent delivery of the consultative client experience across 4–6 offices.
• Evaluate execution quality and client impact across locations.
• Drive adoption of new client experience processes and tools.
• Lead Tax Professionals and Client Service Professionals with accountability.
• Provide coaching to strengthen team execution.
• Identify patterns, address performance gaps, and develop bench strength.
• Own revenue, growth, and business outcomes across offices.
• Monitor performance metrics and implement actions to improve results.
• Ensure daily operations across offices, including staffing and compliance.
• Oversee office readiness, facilities, supplies, and onboarding for seasonal demand.
