Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
• Ability to travel extensively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and ability to identify equipment issues.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations (Hours of Service) and ELD systems.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles with end-dump trailers hauling food waste and organic materials.
• Provide route coverage for drivers absent due to PTO, vacation, sick leave, FMLA, training, staffing shortages, or open routes.
• Travel to multiple operating locations to support transportation operations.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Complete logs, inspections, trip documentation, and required paperwork accurately and timely.
• Ensure loads are transported safely while complying with regulations.
• Communicate with dispatch, operations, maintenance, and customers.
• Assist with route familiarization and operational support when needed.
