Job summary

Perdue Transportation Incorporated (PTI) is the transportation service and logistics provider for Perdue Foods. As a Regional Driver, you will operate a tractor-trailer to safely and efficiently pick up and deliver freight between company and customer locations, supporting drop-and-hook and live load/unload operations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years over-the-road tractor/trailer driving experience; refrigerated trailers preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL license required.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver and deliver/backhaul truckloads of product to plants, customers, and distributors.
• Observe and maintain all DOT requirements (hours of service, logbooks, inspections, load security).
• Use ELDs and on-board tracking systems to document trips efficiently.
• Operate a tractor and trailer legally and safely per laws and company policy.
• Utilize all on-board safety features during operation.
• Complete and submit paperwork (manifest, bills of lading, pay envelopes, claims, trip reports).
• May assist with loading/unloading of products as assigned.
• Ensure trailer seal integrity and report accurate case counts and product condition.
• May be asked to transport non-standard loads to meet business needs.
