Job summary

Perdue Transportation Incorporated is seeking a regional driver to keep our transportation network moving, operating a tractor-trailer between company and customer locations and supporting live load/unload and drop-and-hook operations.

This safety-minded role offers a piece-rate pay model at $0.85 per mile with average annual earnings around $96K, plus overtime potential and a yearly bonus depending on performance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Valid Class A CDL license.
• Minimum two years of over-the-road tractor/trailer experience; refrigerated preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver and deliver/backhaul truckloads of product and materials to plants, customers, and distributors.
• Observe and maintain all DOT hours of service, logbook, vehicle inspections, load inspections, and securing load.
• Utilize electronic logging device and on-board tracking system as required.
• Operate a tractor-trailer legally and safely per laws and company policy.
• Use on-board safety features and complete company paperwork (BOL, manifest, pay envelopes, claims, trip reports).
• As assigned, assist with loading/unloading.
• Maintain seal integrity and report product counts and condition during deliveries.
• May transport non-routine loads to meet business needs.
