What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

  1. Manage the assignment of losses to claims staff and provide ongoing technical direction
  2. Ensure timely and accurate documentation of claim activities
  3. Select, train, coach, and mentor unit personnel to foster professional development
  4. Analyze trends across the claims portfolio and recommend remedial actions as needed
  5. Administer salary and personnel programs while promoting effective communication within the team

What is Required (Qualifications):

  1. Bachelor's degree and/or a minimum of three years of work experience in an insurance-related industry
  2. Extensive knowledge of workers' compensation regulations, insurance contracts, and adjusting techniques
  3. Previous supervisory experience
  4. Familiarity with medical terminology
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

  1. Chartered Property Casualty Insurance (CPCU) or Associate in Claims (AIC) designation or similar professional designation
  2. Advanced skills in decision making, problem-solving, planning, and negotiation
  3. Ability to travel for business purposes, approximately 15%
