Job summary

Region 14 Education Service Center in Texas seeks a Specialist/Child Nutrition Specialist to provide training and technical assistance to contracting entities, maintain reporting data, and support statewide training initiatives. The role requires knowledge of school nutrition programs, strong time management, and the ability to work with diverse adult learners.

Travel will be required, with at least 50% of work hours on-site across CEs.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in relevant field or USDA-equivalent with required experience.
Three years of experience in managing school or institutional food service operations preferred.
Ability to train adults and work with diverse groups.
Knowledge of state and federal child nutrition programs.

Responsibilities

Provide training and technical assistance to Contracting Entities (CEs).
Maintain reporting information, CE files, and data according to TDA guidelines.
Participate in regional training in all areas of program operations for CNPs.
Collaborate with other regions to facilitate the implementation of statewide training.
Attend required TDA meetings.
Attend and participate in special committees and workgroups as directed by TDA.
Travel to CEs for site visits; minimum 50% of work hours.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
