Ysleta Independent School District is seeking a nutrition leader to implement the district nutrition plan, develop menus, recipes, and food specifications, and oversee promotion and education initiatives.
The role ensures compliance with federal and state laws, safety standards, and district policies while coordinating menus, production records, training, and community relations.
Implement the district nutrition plan to include the development and analysis of menus, recipes, and food specifications through the integrated systems in the Child Nutrition Services Department. Oversee the promotion, social media, and education initiatives for the Child Nutrition Services Department. Adhere to federal and state laws, as well as district policies, procedures, and regulations.
Bachelor's degree in nutrition, dietetics, business administration, or related field; valid registered dietician by the Commission of Dietetic Registration; valid licensed dietician by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation by the first day of work; three (3) years of institutional food service experience to include menu planning/analysis experience. Valid Texas/New Mexico driver's license/ID card; subject to the district's drug and alcohol screening policy and regulation; must be insurable by the district's auto liability insurance carrier.
Maintain emotional control under stress; ability to work with frequent interruptions; prolonged use of computers and occasional prolonged and irregular hours; occasional district-wide travel.
