Job summary

Denali Water Solutions LLC in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring a Regional Driver | Class A CDL to support transportation operations across multiple states. This full-time role requires traveling extensively to Michigan, Ohio, Western Pennsylvania, and Kentucky, hauling food waste and organic materials with end-dump trailers.

The position offers a $7,500 sign-on bonus, a weekly salary, per diem of $60, and a benefits-focused culture.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Willingness to travel extensively.
• Safe driving record and adherence to DOT regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles with end-dump trailers to haul food waste, organic materials, and bulk commodities.
• Provide route coverage for drivers who are unavailable because of PTO, vacation, sick leave, FMLA, training, staffing shortages, or open positions.
• Travel to multiple operating locations and provide transportation support based on business needs.
• Conduct pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections in accordance with DOT regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate electronic logs, inspection reports, trip documentation, and all required paperwork.
• Transport loads safely while complying with DOT, FMCSA, environmental, and company regulations.
• Inspect equipment, identify maintenance concerns, and report mechanical issues promptly.
• Perform minor operational troubleshooting when appropriate and safe.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, operations leaders, maintenance personnel, customers, and other drivers.
• Learn unfamiliar routes quickly and assist with route familiarization when needed.
• Provide operational support and guidance at assigned locations.
• Represent the company professionally at customer sites, company facilities, transfer stations, and processing facilities.
• Maintain safe operating practices in all weather, road, and working conditions.
