Benchmark Companies in Christiana, TN is seeking qualified Class A CDL drivers for full-time roles. You will load mulch, operate live floor trailers, and deliver to customers across regional routes.

Most nights out 2–3 per week with weekends at home; per diems for away nights. Prior heavy equipment experience is a plus. Benefits include 401(k) matching, health and dental insurance, vision, PTO.

Qualifications

Job description

Benchmark Companies is a mulch manufacturing company based in Christiana, TN seeking qualified Class A CDL drivers for open full-time positions within our company. Far from "bumping docks" a Benchmark driver is responsible for loading mulch products at various production facilities and delivering those finished goods to our customers. While not required, previous experience on heavy equipment provides added value to the position.

Position Summary:

Load, transport, and deliver mulch and compost products using "live" floor semi trailers. Interact with customers and dispatch to meet delivery schedules and requirements. Comprised predominantly of regional runs, applicants can expect to be out 2-3 nights per week but will be home every weekend. Per diems will be allocated for the nights spent away from home.

Position Essential Functions :

• Operate Class A CDL trucks with walking floor trailers
• Self-load trailer at multiple locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Report repair issues to dispatch and shop personnel
• Operate vehicle in all weather conditions

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current Class A CDL
• Must submit to a driving record check
• 3 years experience preferred
• Ability to operate rubber tire loaders and excavators a plus
