Job summary

Red Baron Transportation, a division of BWT Logistics, is seeking a Class A Local CDL Driver in Fort Wayne, IN. You will transport goods safely between assigned locations, perform inspections, and maintain schedules with a focus on safety and service.

The role requires a CDL-A, at least 3 years driving, clean MVR, a DOT medical card, and FMCSA Clearinghouse registration. ELD experience and strong communication skills are essential for coordination with dispatch and customers.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum of 3 years Class A driving experience.
• Clean MVR and valid DOT Medical Card.
• Registered with FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse.
• Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A CDL vehicle (automatic day cab).
• Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure on-time deliveries.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment safety and compliance.

• Ensure proper loading, transport, and unloading of freight.

Position Summary

The Class A Local CDL Driver is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely transportation of goods between designated locations. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain consistent delivery schedules while providing excellent service.

Compensation

$24.00 - $26.00 per hour.
