Job summary

Red Baron Transportation, a division of BWT Logistics, is seeking a Class A Local CDL Driver in Indianapolis, IN. The role focuses on safe, efficient local freight and on-time deliveries with daily home time.

Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, DOT compliance, accurate ELD use, and strong customer service. Schedule is Monday to Friday, day shift, roughly 10–14 hours, home daily. Compensation $24.00–$26.00 per hour plus benefits after 90 days.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Class A CDL.
• Minimum 3 years of Class A driving experience.
• MVR must be clean and in good standing.
• DOT Medical Card required.
• Registered with FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• Experience using Electronic Logging Devices (ELD).
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Good communication and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A CDL vehicle and follow routes on schedule.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections for vehicle safety.
• Load, transport, and unload freight while maintaining proper loading procedures.
• Maintain DOT compliance and accurate ELD documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers to ensure service quality.
• Report maintenance or safety issues promptly.
• Keep the vehicle clean and in good working order.
• Uphold professionalism and customer service standards.
