Job summary

Averitt Express is hiring regional CDL-A truck drivers to cover routes in the South and Midwest. You’ll enjoy 5-day schedules with 48+ hours at home weekly, 100% no-touch freight, and strong earning potential with a weekly pay of around $1,550 before bonuses.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age
• 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last 3 years
• Willingness to obtain Hazmat endorsement within 90 days of hire
• No convictions for reckless driving within the past 5 years
• No DUI or DWI convictions within the past 5 years
• No license suspensions or revocations due to moving violations within the last 5 years
• No serious DOT-recordable accidents in the past 3 years

Responsibilities

• Open and close trailer doors (up to 46 lbs)
• Hook and unhook trailers (up to 90 lbs)
• Load/unload or shift freight (up to 54 lbs)
• Perform accurate freight counts and fuel tickets
• Conduct pre-trip inspections for safety and compliance
• Enter/exit commercial vehicles from ground level
• Drive for extended periods and maintain regular attendance
• Home time on a 5-day schedule with ample weekly home time
