Job summary

Saia, a leading logistics and transportation company, is seeking an experienced truck driver to operate tractor-trailer combinations over long distances, delivering freight safely and efficiently. You will maintain logs and perform pre/post-trip inspections, and you’ll travel regionally or cross-regionally with various trailer configurations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age and authorized to work in the United States.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid Class A CDL with hazmat, tanker, and twin trailer endorsements.
• At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer driving experience.
• No DUI/DWI or license suspensions in past 3 years.
• No chargeable accidents or serious violations in past 6 months.
• Able to lift up to 100 pounds and work flexible hours.
• Proficient English reading/writing for paperwork and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drives tractor trailers to deliver and pickup freight between terminals and customer facilities.
• Travels regionally and cross-regionally with single, double, or triple trailers.
• Follows pre-trip, post-trip, and billing procedures and maintains records.
• Conducts inspections and ensures compliance with safety/quality controls.
• Maintains logs, forms, and load-related paperwork.
