Job summary

American Driver LLC in Montana seeks CDL-A drivers for Flathead Valley runs. Work is west of the Mississippi, with about 1,900 miles weekly and pay that starts with a $1,000 weekly guarantee for the first 3 months of solo driving.

Qualifications

• Pass a DOT physical and a hair and urine drug test.

Your week

Western lanes, drop and hook, live loads and preloads. Out about two weeks, then home. Mountain passes and winter weather are part of the job.

New CDL? Here is the path

• Call: we check your license and record with you first. No surprises later.
• Orientation: up to 2 days, hotel covered, bus fare reimbursed, $300 once hired.
• Training: 4 to 6 weeks one-on-one with a mentor, paid every week.
• Solo: your own assigned truck, fleet average about 1.5 years old. For your first 3 months solo, your pay will not drop below $1,000 a week.

• "How often will I see home?" Every two weeks.
• "Will one ticket disqualify me?" Not by itself. Up to 2 moving violations in the past 2 years is accepted.
• "Does my CDL school count?" If it was 120 hours or more, yes.
• "What if I have a problem on the road?" Loads are planned for you, and your driver leader picks up the phone.
• "What if my first solo weeks are slow?" You still get at least $1,000 a week for your first 3 months solo.
