Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in Houston, TX is hiring a Class A CDL Truck Driver to join our safety-focused team. Expect weekly pay, generous benefits after 30 days, a $5,000 loyalty bonus, and opportunities to advance in a national network of drivers.

Responsibilities include safe operation of day cab and sleeper equipment, regional trips, and maintaining logs. Candidates must have Class A experience, the ability to drive manual transmissions, and valid endorsements.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL with verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
• 9 months experience in the last 3 years.
• 2 years experience in the last 5 years.
• 5 years experience in the last 10 years.
• Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions.
• Ability to read, interpret and apply laws, rules, regulations, policies and/or procedures.
• Must pass Ryder drug test and background check; endorsements required for position.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and/or agency rules, standards and guidelines.
• Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards; maintain accurate records and logs.
• Loading/unloading freight or assisting in the loading/unloading of freight if required by customer.
• Performs other duties as assigned
