Job summary

Perdue Transportation Incorporated (PTI) is seeking a Regional Driver to operate a tractor-trailer, picking up and delivering freight between company and customer locations while supporting drop-and-hook and live load/unload operations.

You will help maintain safety and DOT compliance, represent the Perdue Farms brand on the road, and be comfortable traveling away from home for extended periods to keep our supply chain running smoothly.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum two years of over-the-road tractor/trailer driving experience; refrigerated trailers preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL License is required.

Responsibilities

• Maneuver and deliver/backhaul truckloads to plants, customers, and distributors as assigned.
• Observe DOT hours of service, logbook, vehicle inspections, load inspections, and securing loads.
• Utilize electronic logging device and on-board tracking systems efficiently.
• Operate tractor and trailer legally and safely per all applicable laws and company policies.
• Use on-board safety features and complete all company paperwork (manifest, bill of lading, payment envelopes, etc.).
• May be required to load/unload products physically.
• Ensure seal/security integrity and report accurate case counts and product condition on delivery.
• May transport loads outside normal scope to meet business needs.
