Job summary
Universal Logistics is seeking Dedicated Regional CDL-A Drivers to service local and regional lanes around the Metro-Detroit area. Home weekly and weekends with options for additional home time on holidays, plus year-round work with a fleet of day cabs, sleepers, and 53’ dry vans to meet customer needs.
Our drivers enjoy up to $2,100 per week, $0.70 CPM, and benefits after 90 days, including health, dental, and vision, plus PTO and holiday pay.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Minimum 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience within the last year
- Clean driving record with a strong safety history
- No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years
- No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years
- No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
- Strong communication and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently
- Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies
- Secure and handle freight as required
- Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation
- Communicate with dispatch and customers
- Report any mechanical or safety issues
- Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits
