Job summary

Universal Logistics is seeking dedicated regional CDL-A drivers to join our team servicing local and regional lanes in the Metro-Detroit area. You’ll operate a Class A vehicle on dedicated routes with home weekly and weekends, delivering steady, year-round work.

Earn up to $2,100 per week with a $0.70 CPM and comprehensive benefits after 90 days, plus paid time off, holidays, stop-off pay and detention pay. Must meet safety standards and DOT requirements.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• At least 21 years old.
• Minimum 6 months verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last year.
• Clean driving record with strong safety history.
• No DUI/OWI in the last 5 years.
• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
• No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
• Strong communication and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class A commercial vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
• Follow all DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Secure and handle freight as required.
• Maintain accurate logs and delivery documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch and customers.
• Report any mechanical or safety issues.
• Adhere to schedules while practicing safe driving habits.
