Job summary

Smithfield Foods, Inc. is seeking a Regional CDL-A Driver to transport and deliver freight over long distances with a strong focus on safety and compliance. The role uses late-model Freightliner tractors to pull 53’ reefers, with excellent home time and a $3,000 sign-on bonus.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of CDL Class A experience, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Full-time employment and benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 1-year CDL Class A driving tractor trailer or reefer experience required.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to work well with others in fast paced, dynamic environment.
• Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Transport and deliver freight over the road over long distances in a safe, efficient, timely and legal manner.
• Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain records required under state and federal laws and regulations.
• Ensure that all operations are in compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.
• Represent the Company and the trucking industry in a professional manner.
